A repair is made to seal thing up while we investigate this is 22Sep08. The OSB around the skylights is in really degraded condition. This has to be more than a leak and it extends too far to either side as well as above.
Nails that came out during the temporary repair work are really corroded. Could it be the Air exchanger is not doing its job?
Stopped back for more investigation 25Sep08 Humidity in the home seems high. 40% to 50%. Shaved some icynene away to look at the bottom of the roof sheathing. The nail is highly corroded and sheathing is wet. This does appear to be the result of a leak not a condensation problem because of the time of year but we are starting to think the main damage here ids a condensive problem in colder months. A decision is made to monitor this over the winter.
